360 Systems and Leightronix Bring Cost-Effective Solutions to Broadcast and Pro AV Markets
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA (April 4, 2007)--- 360 Systems and Leightronix, INC. announced a strategic relationship that has produced a cost-effective, broadcast-quality video server and automation suite that delivers a robust and dependable content management/distribution solution. The product combination is composed of any 360 Systems’ Image Server – including the Image Server 2000™, Maxx™ or the just-introduced MAXX 6T™ - and the new Leightronix TCD/V3™. The TCD/V3 is a 4th generation video system controller specifically designed for 360 Systems’ servers. Available from each manufacturer directly or through dealers and integrators, the product combo offers customers an easy-to-integrate, easy-to-use solution for broadcast or professional A/V applications.

The Image Server family of video servers offers broadcast quality performance and exceptional features that can be configured for many applications. Integration of Image Servers is now easier than ever as a result of the TCD/V3. The TCD/V3 is a network-managed controller featuring WinLGX, an improved built-in user interface for automation scheduling and management. WinLGX reads program clip information directly from the Image Servers, enabling operators to organize and schedule content stored on any networked server. The TCD/V3 also features comprehensive error-checking and conflict reporting.

When used in tandem with the TCD/V3 controller, broadcasters, cable networks, and Pro AV integrators can create a network-based video content management and distribution infrastructure for control and play-out of as many as 16 Image Servers, or 48 direct-to-air channels. The 360 Systems/Leightronix combination delivers this capability at a fraction of the cost of comparable-quality vertically-integrated solutions.

Additionally, the new Image Server MAXX has enhanced software that improves FTP file transfer speed regardless of how many channels are playing. This software upgrade is available to all existing and new Image Server MAXX customers. The new MAXX-6T, to be introduced at NAB 07, extends the functionality of the family of Image Servers by increasing storage to over 700 hours. In addition, it incorporates higher levels of reliability through the addition of redundant power supplies and RAID-6 storage protection.

360 Systems’ Image Servers deliver exceptional speed and high compatibility with file-based workflows, while maintaining traditional video standards with composite video and SDI ports. A new input frame-synchronizer allows “wild” sources from tape or satellite to be recorded.
